Step 4 - Application for Decree Absolute

At 6 weeks and 1 day from the date on your decree nisi you can apply for your decree absolute. You simply send off the application form with the court fee of £40.00 (or fee exemption form if you are on relevant benefits) and your decree absolute will come through within a few days. This would mean that the marriage has been dissolved.
